When I was talking with a friend who’s also a coordinator on the side, she also recommended Elmer Bautista of Rejectkrew. So left and right, everyone was just pointing me to REJECTKREW. No one else had a chance. Haha!
It’s true it’s hard to contact Elmer, so I had my friend book him for me, and then it was up to me to follow through. Transaction was pretty straightforward. I just paid the initial Php1,000 to reserve the date; he emailed me the contract; I signed, and that was pretty much it.
Again, nothing so remarkable that I had to blog about it.
That is, not until today.
This morning, I was relatively early, doing chores, cooking breakfast, planning to go to work early (see entry below why). My usual routine would be to check my emails, FB, Instagram, etc., while I’m on my way to work using the bus. So I was reading through emails and Weddings@Work and a fellow May 17 bride emailed and listed down her suppliers. So I read and read and read…
“L/S: Rejectkrew.”
I swear, it gave me a mini-heart attack at 8:30 in the morning! I started emailing my coordinator and some other suppliers I have that were close to Elmer, including my friend who initially booked me with him to confirm there were no issues—that it was all okay.
I was refreshing my email every five minutes and I was really going crazy over it!
Before lunch, Darlene, our emcee, replied to me (as she usually works with Elmer on weddings) and told me that I need not worry as Elmer usually has three teams. Then, my friend also sent me a message over FB and said she already confirmed it with Elmer and it was okay.
WHEW.
What a sigh of relief. Can you imagine if he did overbook on that day?! I would have gone nuts!
Lesson learned: Stop worrying too much. Trust your suppliers. And don’t ever ever email when emotions are high. Ha ha ha! Good thing, I did not do or say anything I would have regretted afterwards. :)
